Giacomo Petrobelli and Jonny Adam will reunite with Blackthorn AMR to spearhead their GT3 effort in the 2025 British GT Championship.
The duo will once again pilot a distinctively liveried Aston Martin Vantage Evo GT3 with which they finished ninth overall last season, with the pair’s best result being a second-place finish at Donington Park.
Jonny Adam will be attempting to claim a record-extending fifth British GT Championship title with Aston Martin this year, with his four previous titles all coming from behind the wheel of previous iterations of the Vantage. A fifth title this season would mark his first since 2019.
Adam is joined again by Petrobelli, who will commence his second full season in the championship. The Italian driver is still looking for his first victory, but the potential shown in 2024 suggests the duo will be amongst the frontrunners this year.
Adam said: “I can’t wait to get going for British GT in 2025. Last season we learnt so much and had a few glimpses of performance and the goal this season is to make a championship challenge. Racing with Giacomo is always fun and professional; that alongside Blackthorn’s experience with the Aston Martin Vantage Evo GT3 will give us a great opportunity of success.”
Petrobelli said: “I am delighted to be back for another season of British GT with Blackthorn and Aston Martin Racing, and most importantly sharing a car with Jonny. We made a lot of progress as a team and a driver pairing last season and I believe we can be in contention at most races this year. I can’t wait to get started.”
