Visitors to Oulton Park’s signature Historic Gold Cup will enjoy a stellar entry list with strong fields throughout the programme, including a an eye-catching contingent of iconic Formula 5000 cars. Click here to view the full entry list for this weekend (26-28 July).

The Historic Sports Car Club’s (HSCC) classes are in fine health for the organisation’s marquee fixture in the North West with no fewer than 23 Historic Formula 3 cars expected to compete for the headline ‘Historic Gold Cup’ itself.

Another major attraction this year is the return of a strong cast of Formula 5000 single-seaters from the ‘70s, recreating a fondly remembered era of the Gold Cup. This includes examples of the Lola T330 and Lola T400 plus the unique Chevron B37 which will race alongside other powerful single-seaters from the era.

Other sizeable grids from the HSCC’s own portfolio include Historic Formula Junior which will feature 35 single-seaters from the ‘50s and early ‘60s, whilst Historic Formula Ford 2000 and a combined grid of Historic Touring Cars and Road Sports has attracted good numbers too.

The Historic Grand Prix Car Association will transport visitors back to the Gold Cup’s earliest years with a field of pre-slicks and wings machines from Lotus, Cooper, BRM and more. The capacity grid will also include two examples of the Maserati 250F, as driven to victory in the opening two editions of the Gold Cup by Sir Stirling Moss.

This year’s line-up also includes guest races from the Classic Sports Car Club, Vintage Sports-Car Club, Motor Racing Legends, Ferrari Club Classic and the 500 Owners Association and you can view all entered cars on the entry list.

Tickets are available for just £26 each day with reductions for 13-15-year-olds and free entry for under-13s. For more information, click here.
