Oulton Park’s signature Historic Gold Cup celebrates its 70th anniversary this weekend (26-28 July), with three days of nostalgic entertainment, including showpiece Saturday and Sunday race days. There is still time to save on tickets with discounted admission available until 4pm on Thursday. Further reductions are available for 13-15-year-olds and there’s FREE entry for under-13s. Click here to book.

Track action will be overseen by the Historic Sports Car Club with a curated selection of races, including the Derek Bell Trophy for powerful '70s machinery, featuring Formula 5000s, and Historic Formula 3, which will compete for the headline Historic Gold Cup.

Further highlights will include a celebration of the event's non-championship F1 origins from the Historic Grand Prix Car Association, plus Historic Formula Junior and grids from Motor Racing Legends, the Cooper 500 Owners Association, Classic Sports Car Club, Vintage Sports-Car Club and Ferrari Club Classic.

HUGE OFF TRACK SHOW SET TO ENTERTAIN

The traditional fixture will be much more than a race event though, with countless themed attractions to fit the retro theme. This will feature car displays, including classic car clubs, supercars and the sublime Cheshire Concours. Plus a vintage music festival, trade stands, a major sale from Hampson Auctions, vintage tractor and steam displays and much more!

Oulton Park's rich heritage will also be celebrated with a special exhibition, featuring artwork, memorabilia and the premiere showing of a new film looking back at the event's past. Additionally, there will be a display and demo to pay homage to iconic local racer Alan Minshaw who died earlier this year, as well as an on-site presence from the Jim Clark Trust.

Tickets are available for just £26 each day with reductions for 13-15-year-olds and free entry for under-13s. For more information, click here.
