Oulton Park’s Historic Gold Cup returns for a special 70th anniversary edition next weekend (26-28 July). Tickets for this renowned, award-nominated event are available at discounted advance prices with FREE entry for under-13s - click here to get yours.

The Cheshire circuit’s signature event returns for three days of nostalgia both on and off the track, including a retro race programme, extensive classic car displays and additional celebrations.

The Historic Sports Car Club will run the on-track show, with the Historic Formula 3 championship competing in the headline Gold Cup race this year. Powerful ‘70s single-seaters of the Derek Bell Trophy and the popular Historic Formula Junior category will also highlight, along with a sublime entry of classically modelled F1 machines from the Historic Grand Prix Car Association.

The golden past of motor racing will continue to star with the Motor Racing Legends Touring Car Challenge, the 500 Owners Association, CSCC Special Saloons and Modsports, Ferrari Club Classic and Vintage Sports-Cars. Also, during the Saturday lunchbreak, the life and career of iconic Demon Tweeks founder and racer Alan Minshaw will be celebrated with a special demonstration of cars from his career.

Huge off-track show provides much additional entertainment

Hundreds of special road cars will be on display, including a wide range of pre-2000 models, the Youngtimers showcase, an exclusive collection of supercars and extraordinary pre and post-war sports cars in the Cheshire Concours d’Esprit (Sunday only). The displays will stretch to historic tractors, buses and steam engines too.

Celebrations for the event and the circuit’s history will continue with the returning Oulton Park exhibition, including a special film premiere, memorabilia and artwork on show. Beyond this will be vintage music, traders and much more.
